Removal of Defects |
| Defects shall be
cut out by chipping or machining or by burning out by
the "Air Arc Weld Process. |

Examination before Re-welding
|
Where a defective part has been cut out, the Inspecting
Authority shall be entitled to make an examination before
re-welding.

Process used for Repairs
|
Only metallic arc welding shall be used for repairs.

Radiographical Examination after Repairs
|
All
repaired areas shall be subjected to radiographic or
radioscopic examination by the approved techniques.

Reg. 266 h
Specimen Representing Repairs
|
The Inspecting Authority shall be entitled to call
for specimens representing any welded repair, for the
purpose of examination and test.

Diagram of Welded Repairs
|
On completion of all welded repairs the manufacturers
shall, if requested, supply for record purposes a detailed
diagram showing the position, length, depth and width
of all such repairs.
